Yes, you have probably already seen this, but FT and BC have leeched on this event and already started taking up the spots for the SAS event.

SAS only gives 30 spots in total for all 3 boards and prioritize by EB-status.
We will have to figure out what this does to our event, but it certainly isn't beneficial to compete for the spots with FT and BC.

Well, as I am a lowly EBB I guess I won't get a place at the event. Too bad, I really was looking forward to this and I thought that this was only a MilePoint-event... I applied anyway.

Will anyway join in HEL if EBB's are still welcome there.

Thanks for the support for the HEL part. So far we are the only board who made plans with Blue 1 - as far as I know, but I also just learned a few days ago that SAS were persuaded to make it an open event and give us 10 spots.

I am impressed by your work and am disappointed by the politics of others.

HEL will at least be great fun and if any help is needed here in Finland please let me know.

Well as a newly EBS I most prob am out of the league here. It's just annoying that I've booked tickets and so on under false pretenses. I'm very satisfied with the work you guys have done, and I still hope the trip will be worth the money

So they want to give out 10 seats to each of the boards? Have you asked them to acknowledge your organizing efforts by giving you more spots?

Yes, I was thinking the same thing! Signing up for all two/three then I guess would put the odds in your favour?!

I'm willing to let someone else take my spot, as long as you can prove that you were one of the first to register and that you're not based out of ARN (i.e. that you have travelled from another scandinavian country). I'm all in for status perks and privileges when flying — but I don't think this can be applied to this event if people have signed up and booked their trips for weeks, expecting a seat only to be bypassed by another EBG from another forum.

I will of course attend the dinner and everything else.

Well, signed up - but as a "nothing" on SK EuroBonus guess i won't be invited to the SAS event. Really a mess up

As a new member here (I have not heard of MilePoint before today) I must commend you on organizing what sure will be a great event. I don`t know if new members can attend the DO you have planed, but if possible I would to like to attend.

As a SK and airline nut and EBG, I will apply and try to attend the SK hangar show at ARN, but through my FT account so that I don`t take a MP members place. I am sorry about this, but a visit to SK hangars at ARN is just to tempting.

WOW....I'm utter surprised and a bit shocked actually.... I thought that this was us 25 ( or so ) on MP who was going to meet up with SAS, and were the sole group for this event. I've booked flights from TRD via OSL to be at ARN before 10 am, to be apart of the SK-show. I could have easily booked direct TRD-ARN if I knew the seats were limited, and I am a EBB and most likely won't be selected.
I must say that this - SAS - was the lowpoint for me. I won't even apply for a place......

I'm going to go direct to the hotel, and enjoy a nice day in Stockholm instead, have a nice lunch on a nice restaurant ( were seats are not limited )
Hopefully us not priviledged will meet up and enjoy airline-chitter chatter,some good beer and maybe a small "nubbe" as well. Anyone else is welcome to join me

Well, it was quite the surprise... I have also finalized all travel plans, and all flights are booked and hotel as well.... I'm putting all my hope into Tommy's words above, about trying to accommodate everyone who signed up early (signed up as a definitive attendee in May).

Guys, I've spammed all 27 confirmed attendees to the event with a rather generic message. Apologies for that, I wish I could have personalized it a bit.

Either way, as mentioned in the message we need to have confirmations no later than Friday this week to try and accommodate as many as possible.

For the moment anyone who had not RSVP'ed positive for the event by yesterday will be on a waiting list until I've heard from everyone and know how many are still certain to come.
