Place the cursor over the name of a milepoint.com member and one notices the member number at the bottom left corner of the browser window. My member number, for example, is 57. However, although there are currently 614 members registered to milepoint.com, the latest milepoint.com member has the number of 686. What happened to the other 72 members? Also, who is milepoint.com member number 1? It must be someone on the administrative staff...
Now, although there are currently 636 members registered to milepoint.com, the latest milepoint.com member has the number of 710. Why did the discrepancy number jump from 72 to 74, and what happened to the other members?

I'd guess there are two reasons: 1) Test users that have been deleted. For instance, members 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 11 don't exist. 2) People who have signed up but not yet confirmed probably use a slot but don't count as a member yet.
