You really should go metric. 30 centimetres sounds so much more impressive than 12 inches. :D

Here! Thank you for the pm.

I've been cutting back on my interweb usage. I guess I've neglecting here. I'm getting married in Hawaii in September :) I quit the awful job leaving them with no corporate knowledge. Absolutely surprised them but took a huge weight off my shoulders. I may have knifed someone in the back in my parting conversation with the deputy CEO......

I'm signed off to teach in Qld so using that education of mine after a few years away from teaching. $67/hour I'm happy to substitute initially.

We got it Monday. I managed to fly home and was on the first flight to make it in to YWG late in the afternoon. They managed to clear one runway and sweep it for surface contamination.

I'm confused and annoyed! Mr's Mum has decided she won't attend our wedding! They had their daughter in law tell me on facebook. Didn't even bother to phone their son and tell him. The weird thing is she flys from Sydney to Perth!

Money isn't an issue, they can easily afford business class.

I guess we have a couple of spare seats if anyone will be in Hawaii in September.......

So sorry to hear that :( -- what a way to start that relationship!

Thank you! They made us sleep in their camper trailer in the backyard even though they had an empty air conditioned bedroom!

I got in trouble for picking up their two year old granddaughter (my future niece). The little one wanted picking up so I did. Apparently she is too old to be picked up!!!!! I kept picking up the little one whenever she wanted it.

I'm convinced these people enjoy pushing my buttons!

Wow -- that's just ridiculous! Prolly better that they don't attend & somehow add  to the wedding festivities.

Miss B: your last posts give credence to the legends about certain MIL behaviours. :(
I loved my MIL. she was a class act.

I was worried about the speech his Dad would make. I guess there's a benefit if he doesn't go!

When they visit the snoop around the house when we're out. Each morning I would put some underwear on our bed for them to find.......

One day I had been home from work for less than five minutes. Shoes off, cold drink in hand and sat on the lounge. They told me to clear the table for dinner. Their son had been home for hours. I refused and we ate on the lounge.

One of my academic degrees is in human behaviour.
I have over 40 years observation and interaction with people. How certain people function never ceases to puzzle me....
Problem with in laws will be challenge in building your future life.....especially if grandchildren are involved.

I would think grandchildren would solve many of the problems/relationship overhang.
    Their son is theirs.
But the grandkids...they would have to be more flexible with you to maximize time/relationship with them.

I can hear the conversation....."You should do this or that in dealing with your children who also are our grandchildren"
