Two feet of snow on the ground, and going to get just above freezing... it doesn't feel like Spring!

Turned out to be a lovely day weather wise even though I spent the majority of the day doing the glamourous chores of a housewife. Days like this makes me thankful we only have one bathroom.

Haven't heard back from any applications. My bosses have left me alone after my week of sick leave. I think they realised how much I do. They freaked out and got a temp because they couldn't cope!

The house settles on Monday but our dumb conveyancer requested the council report AFTER we went unconditional. She doesn't seem too concerned the house approval from 1999 isn't finalised. Likewise the sewer diversion approval from 2004 for the pool isn't finalised. Besides that I'm sitting outside a fish and chips shop waiting for tea even though I hate crumbed fish and prefer battered.

Ok. Back to normal. That actually felt really good to type

I've almost finished a bottle of red and I'm much more relaxed over the house and sewer diversion approvals not being finalised.

I'm now thinking about the upcoming Queensland election on Saturday. I get excited about voting and how important it is.

We're having an election soon here, too. But I can't register to vote until I have lived in Alberta for six months, it seems. Never imagined being disenfrachised in my own country. :(

Any reason as to why the rebranded?

MissB I feel your frustration. I wish when you were paying someone to do a job they would just do it properly, that's all you ask. When we sold our house in NT we had issues with settlement because suddenly they found a shed etc. which was built in the wrong place even though it had not shown up when we purchased the place. Conveyancer was part of the old boys club, looking after the seller's interest and not ours when we purchased.

No idea, they used to be blue and yellow colors, and a different logo, now all just ACCION and orange.

If ING weren't bought by capone I'd think ING had invested in them :)

It could just be under $700 in council fees to have the two approvals finalised. But what if it isn't? Have drafted an email. Thank goodness we have an accessable legal team and building experts at work I can bounce it off first up today.

When we lived in Canberra my parents had a garage built but the builder didn't put in the proper paperwork. Dad went to his office and asked loudly about it and all the potential customers in the store walked out :D That was early 90' and it was finalised in the 2000's when we sold.

SF weather is weird. The weekend before the Kiva DO, it was in the 70s. Weekend of the DO was in the 60s. Last weekend it dropped into the 40s/50s. Now it's back up in the 60s. Whee.
