Of course when you pepper those convo's with a smattering of frequent flyer acronyms they'll suspect you are yet another Yankee!

It's a four day weekend in Oz. Today the shops are shut. Some servos are open so we can get fuel but not much else is open. Unpacking boxes and watching movies today.

Happy Good Friday. If the shops are shut, how are you going to buy the towel racks?

Tomorrow when the shops are overrun with people who couldn't cope with a day at home.

Our Good Friday movie marathon has started with The Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy.

Excellent way to start the long weekend. I hope you have your towel with you while you watch. It makes the movie so much realer. :p

We found the towel box this morning!!! We have more than three towels again!

The movers stacked half the garage with boxes. Somewhere in there is one of the suitcases I want to take to the USA. I've told MrMissB if we can't find it easily I buy a new suitcase set tomorrow. He's scared because I own at least ten suitcases.

I already knew what a galah was, but I just did a Google search for "perch sitting galahs", in an effort to broaden my vocabulary - and MissBurrill's post above was number one in the results. Since I connected from this page, there might have been a cookie or link that affected the search, but still. What I can't figure out, even with the time zones, is that it says it was posted two days ago.

One of our prominent staff members has a surname that rhymes with perch so he initially asked for mr perch.

Well, considering the fact that I can't speak Australian nor Atlantan, I guess I would be the perfect person to keep her from understanding or being understood by anyone she meets. Could be a plan...................

We had a wonderful time and so much fun. We both learned to surf :).

The only downer was the domestic F seats on the UA 777. Miserable on a red eye home.

    Thank you. :)
I think I'm slacking though. IDGflygirl and I never got a chance to pop a bottle at the DO

You'll just have to pop two at the next do.

Everyone on MP feels sorry for you because you suffered in F. Imagine how it would be in Y? Do I get sympathy for flying the SFO-MIA redeye on AA F in a 757? Nope. However, from the KivaDO because I did not have enough stickers in my account and did not check my email my wife and I flew exit row on the red eye SFO-MIA on a 757. It was awful.

Despite my kvetching I am glad you and Kellio girlchild had a great time together. Congrats.

You could always accidentally damage the discovered suitcase and score a new replacement. So long as it doesn't strain your budget.

I guess she could borrow autolycus. He speaks Southern.

    yes, but only Southern Greek.

That would be suitable. Since MissBurrill only speaks Southern OZ she won't know the difference. Just remind autolycus not to wear his budgie smugglers. That is offensive to folks from OZ. Oh, tell him to wear a hat or dye his hair if he is a ranga.

I would have given you sympathy for that! I think I'm just getting to old for red eye flights. We arrived back to Phx at 8am home by 9 am and straight to bed for 6 hours :). Didn't even take the luggage out of the truck.

She loved pearl harbor though. So glad she has such an interest in history.

Do you really think it would be hospitable to subject Miss B to an all day harangue about the glories of Georgia Tech? I feel she deserves better. I think the best plan would be for her to steer clear of any contact with autolycus or myself.

The only solution is to have someone who lives further south than you and autolycus. jbcarioca. I have met him at the KivaDO and he is a fine southern gentleman.

Glad that you didn't suggest that other "Gentleman" of the South, name starts with T and rhymes with Leo.
