Top Guest--points keep posting!

I have been getting points for checking into the Burlington Airport (BTV) almost everyday! I don't check in... I just drive by! Should I just say, "hooray!"?

If you linked both your old United MP account number and your new COdbaUA account alnum then you might be able to say "hooray! hooray!" every time you pass by.

I did for a while get "hooray! hooray!" postings, but not anymore, I don't think -- but the hits keep coming, so I'm a happy camper!

Just a word of warning to my fellow members, that they do look at check-in patterns and will respond to what they believe is "suspicious activity". I've received emails from Celeste Williams of TopGuest trying to better define a "visit" for me. In addition, since I'm travelling a lot, I notice many check-ins are not posting, with seemingly no rhyme or reason.

Agree. You need to break up your check-ins every so often. The same place over and over again will trigger an issue.
Not sure what the threshold is but you need to integrate a different check-in place every so often.

ive been checking in at the same, doubletree, holiday inn, virgin america, united once a day since this started and still rolling...probably just jinxed myself....

I know of others that also check-in at the same 3 or 4 places everyday since they joined TopGuest and have never had an issue - make me wonder what exactly causes accounts to be flagged, I don't think it is just the repeated check-ins

I think the only thing we know for sure is that people that contact topguest for various reasons are almost always in violation of the terms and conditions, and thus they end up with no more points. Hence, I simply collect whatever points I can and think of every point/mile as something for nothing (and with my setup, my part is very limited).

That's pretty much my position too. Any points I get from TopGuest are free points with minimal effort. If points don't show up from a check-in, oh well. If they do, woohoo!

Top guest points stopped posting for me on 4/19. It's not unusual that postings to some program accounts temporarily "stall", but this time I don't even see updates on the

page. The separate United/Continental program continues to work, though.

I take the same position here. So far that has helped me gain over 50K points/miles across the various programs.

Same here. I'm hoping it's just another temporary round of bugs in their system and that it'll get cleared up soon.

Got my doubletree points from yesterday, already, though the United points haven't posted yet.

I've been received United points all week up until yesterday, no problem.

My United miles generally don't post daily, I seem to get them in batches of 100-200 miles at a time.

I have seen points for "visits" up to 4/23, i.e., yesterday.

Same here - I show up through 4/23. I don't see anything for this morning though, and they usually post within a couple of hours so I'm guessing things are a bit backed up right now.

Mine also stopped on the 19th, so you're not the only one.
