Topguest - Points/Miles for "checking in"

Two more postings to the OP account, despite all miles living in the MP account. I'll take the miles however they come.

It's funny that after I changed to MP account, the 50 miles came in. However, I still saw nothing in my OP account.

My husband and I signed up at the same time. He has yet to see a single post of miles. So I went back in again yesterday and "linked" his account. I didn't get a message that he was already registered so not sure what happened. Hopefully this will fix the problem moving forward and he will get miles for his check ins...

Just got a slug (over 1,000) of Choice points post today. They were way behind in posting and since they left the program I can't reconcile to what topguest says I earned, but I'll take it. Account now topped off with enough for a GS hit in the fall! Also seeing UA post consistantly now.

I haven't seen any OP miles for a handful of checkins at airports. I have gotten emails about the checkin and that it would earn me 50 miles, but I have never had miles post.

I have gotten my hhonors points though. They usually post within a few days of the check-in and email--which has always been within 24 hours of checking in via foursquare.

I started getting miles on my account within a few days of checking in just last week. Yay!

Nice to get a couple thousand when you thought the chain had caught up .

I haven't gotten HHonors points posted to my Hilton account in over two weeks. I am still getting PC points, so I haven't been banned yet. Not the first time, though, that posting stalled for a while.

I can't get HHonors points to post at all. Just have a 50 point credit with them and I think that was sign up bonus. Perhaps the HGI I'm checking into on 4SQ isn't registered with TopGuest?

None of the HGIs are. You need to check in at a Doubletree or HI.

I lost some points early on because of that. Eventually figured out that I could check in to the Doubletree ATL Airport from my office and score both the HHonors and OnePass points.

I've gotten points from HGI, Homewood and Hampton check-ins in my neighborhood.

Topguest's website specifically says you get points for HI and DoubleTree and lists no others. I noticed that most doubletree's on foursquare actually show a reward flag. The Hampton nearest me does not, but I have gotten points there. I've checked in to Embassy Suites and HGI without getting any points.

I have had mixed results at Embassy.

Ok, I have a strange thing happening. Last week I had to change my facebook account. I contacted topguest to ammend and correct my linked facebook account to my new one. Since them, I do not get any points as I used to when I had my original log in details. Anyone has had something similar, or any luck in change your linked FB account to another one?

Yes, I got a reply on unlinking my old FB and linking my new one. I start doing my check in and they show on FB, however, no points at all. on my old FB, it used to post next day.Now no points show up since the change.

You could just disconnect your FB account, sign up for a Foursquare account, link that, and see if that works.

A need a few foursquare friends. Anyone want to please be my friend?

I was banned from topguest, found that i actually had an old hhonors number in a file somewhere, that when logged onto hhonors worked but no points there. I made new foursquare acct, new topguest account, put in the old hhonors #, got the 50 points or whatever for enrolling that hhonors into FS, but then never got any points for any new check ins at either my neighborhood hampton inn or embassy. not sure why...

What were you doing to get banned?
