I have been trying for a few days now and have been unable to post a new Meetup. I am able to enter information, although the Update Map button does not function and there does not seem to be any option to select a day for the event. Then when I try to save the event, I get a message saying that there was an error and I should try again later. I have tried to do this on a Mac, using both Chrome and Firefox, and a Windows machine, using Internet Explorer. I have had the same issues and results on both machines and with all three browsers. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or if there is something wrong with the Meetups page. We have an event on 11/20 that I would like to let people know about.
The only 'easy' way I've found to always get a meetup to post is: 1) click on meetups forum 2) click on blue rectangle that states "Post New Meetup" 3) fill in details of meetup any other means I've tried has resulted in error. Good luck!
now I am unable to post a meetup. The meetup calendar was populated but the actual thread in the Meetup forum did not appear. Is there a tech person for this site? (if so, please provide handle)
OK, here is the scoop. If one posts a new meetup, make sure that the two boxes are checked at the bottom of the page, one box is for creation of the thread and the other box is for the RSVPing feature of a meetup thread. These boxes used to be autochecked but now one has to check them.
