Not in Georgetown, much less the heart. And business in dc shuts down in the summer, particularly August,

Is this even a luxury hotel? I've never stayed at a Fairmont that was.

Well, it's quite nice, but I would stay across the street at the PH.

Not luxury, not in Georgetown, and a very long walk to Georgetown University. But it's in a nice neighborhood, West End, just north of Washington Circle and not too far from the Metro (first stop in the district from DCA).

Ahh, it's that hotel, one that I see out the window of my room at the PH DC. I cannot imagine how they could possibly call that Georgetown!

    I dunno either.

And I really don't think Georgetown carries that much cachet anyway. I greatly prefer the "far west end" to Georgetown any day - the setting is far more serene.

I have seen the rooms in the Fairmont. They are very nice. The hotel isn't in the same league as the Four Seasons. The hotel is in the West End , not Georgetown. But it is only a few blocks from Georgetown. A nice place to stay in DC imo.
