What happened to MP today, September 29, 2011

MP seems to have been down for at least several hours and I didn't hear about any other internet problems, so that I'm guessing that the Amazon cloud is fine and well. What happened? I think MP was down for about four hours and forty minutes.

Milepoint suffered some sort of technical problem this morning at 5:04 AM MDT. Not sure exactly what or why at this point. We have software in place to allow the system to self-recover from problems, and it was unable to do so. We were locked out from getting in and making repairs quickly. Had to do it the hard way, and this took some time.

Sorry about the downtime.

Phew, that was a close one. I'm glad everyone made it back to this board safe and sound
