Attending a Do - seminar based or dinner based - is definitely worth the trip. I am not, personally, going to attend the Frequent Traveler 'University' or Awards in NYC (I don't think) - but I am definitely attending the Chicago Do, the Prague Do, the COS Do.... and plan to make myself available for any other opportunity that may arise... like the StarMegaDo3. I cannot stress just how great it is to put faces to handles and meet people in person. It certainly helps out in the long run in many many ways.

SC, I can't find anywhere listing all the DO's so I can pick a vacation trip with a DO.

I'd love to DO Prague...and I will show you my hidden beer halls!!! lol

The biggest value to the DOs is the people to people connection. The experts are more likely to share tips one on one rather than announcing a little known tip to the group. The audiences are all over the spectrum as far as their knowledge base so the speakers can't get too technical in a beginner group or too basic in an advanced group. One on one or in small groups you learn the best tips. I would come to the DO with some ideas of your own to share, even if it's just one simple thing. As you develop relationships you will learn even more.
