Im Hilton Gold, Hyatt Platinum and SPG Gold. My choices are Hilton Toronto, Weston Harbor Castle or Hyatt Regency. I don't have a lot of travel planned right now so I am at odds with my self as to where I should stay given current promos. I have the most points with Hilton but SPG provides better value all around with points and cash but Hyatt is great for aspirational travel (which I don't do much of). Help!?
Tell us more about your stay, what are you looking for? Is this a business stay? Where do you need to be. Location wise - I do like the Hilton Toronto as a business hotel. Very central. The Westin is a bit further out there. I haven't stayed at the Hyatt. The downtown Hilton Garden Inn is in the area where there is a lot of nightlife. I've been treated well there as a gold. Great for personal travel. The sheraton is in a much better location for a SPG property.
Have you checked the Park Hyatt? It's nice and sometimes not much more expensive, although my impression is that real upgrades aren't easy.
I haven't but I assumed it wasnt in the travel policy seeing as how Park Hyatts are generally higher priced.
I stay at the Sheraton on Queen good location for the film festival each year. easy to walk from there and the subway is a block in either direction. the Westin is on the waterfront so you need a cab or walk under the highway.
I would also recommend looking at the PH. I often see rates better than HR. For SPG, whil the Westin is nuce, the Harbour is a slight trek from any action. LM or Sheraton are better options.
Wow... Markham and Toronto are pretty far away, not a fun commute during a business trip. I'd personally stay at the Hilton Suites in Markham, and save some time. Main St. Unionville (Short bus/cab away) is a nice place for an after work dinner / drink.
That's one hell of a drive, not to mention the daily parking fees. I agree with "Jetsetting Eric"...Hilton Suities in Markham is nice, and if you like good Chinese food, lots of great options nearby.
