Why We're All Here

I'm here because Randy's here... and Punki's here, and other original (or close to original) members of FT are here.

They've now strapped me down and wired my eyes open. Some guy called Ludovico is forcing me to read the Travel Safety/Security Forum whilst listening to this god-awful song: Well you came and you gave without taking
but I sent you away, oh Randy... If I don't agree to stay they've threatened to make me read OMNI/PR.

Gary (gleff) told me about:

*caviar on three different flights in one day

*the FCL in FRA

*the joys of a personal assistant at airports

*going wherever I wanted in total luxury

*doing it without spending thousands

So, when Gary told me about MP.........I flew right over!

I'm still waiting for the caviar, but that's OK.....I'm loving it here!!

I'm here for Randy - he truly shaped our retirement years! (Also, flyertalk was getting too big.) But now that I'm here, I'm becoming addicted to the points and the "likes". Reminds me of elementary school - getting gold stars and colorful stickers!

I came here for Randy, but will stay for content, community and respect.

I agree about Randy, and the information and community that we found FT. We found it shortly after early retirement, and we were able to build up to some wonderful travel and vacation experiences that would not have been otherwise possible. Wanting to see what new things he was doing brought us to MP.

I am reflecting a lot in the last few days, on the points , posting, and likes. The "run" is fun, and I am enjoying meeting people online, watching the beta site grow and pinch and modify. I like hearing from the MP staff and Randy with quick feedback on questions and suggestions. I really appreciate the welcoming MP community.

I am here because I am excited about the new offering of MP. I am enjoying making new acquaintances and learning the new site. So much do learn, so many to help, lots of fun to be had.

Because MP is becoming a fun place to hang.....

I am here because the weather is to cold to stay outdoors

I'm here because I love babies, and then having the chance to watch them grow (there is an intentional double entendre here). And, because I love being part of a community that cares passionately about miles and points.

I want to be in on something good from the start for a change.

I really wanted to be an "Orignal Member" cause I will never post enough to be Silver, Gold or Platinum.

Silver was quite easy to get. Gold, I'm told, is impossible.

Deal and point codes....all else is secondary...

I was told I get 20 My Coke Rewards for every post....

I'm here for all the right reasons...and most of us know what they are already. Thanks to Randy et al.

As I have said to Randy a few times over the years, he has made a profound difference in my life since that first time I saw/read him back in 2000. I have met countless friends, traveled to places I never expected to travel to and have hopefully help build a community in many ways.

I would follow Randy anywhere... does not mean I do not still love my FT home... but it is nice to have have an additional vacation home to visit... where many old friends are... and some new ones as well.

Supporting Randy for all of his years of dedicated service and information.

That sounds to me like the ideal life.

A beautiful home, magnificent woman, meat in the smoker ... every man's dream, indeed!

All my friends are here, so I followed the herd.

I have received so much through the years from Randy's endeavors and when I found out about this site, I had to join.

I came for the friendlier atmosphere and the better UI.
