Cathay Pacific’s Nonstop Flights Between Seattle and Hong Kong Restart Today

Cathay Pacific plots its return to Seattle
Hong Kong carrier Cathay Pacific is preparing to resume services to Seattle, Washington. CATHAY PACIFIC: Resuming Hong Kong to Seattle flights in 2026
Cathay Pacific is adding another dot back on its North America route map. From 30 March 2026, the Hong Kong carrier will once again fly non-stop to Seattle, USA. Seattle becomes Cathay’s ninth North American destination, joining Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver. Air China and Cathay Group increase their Airbus A350F orders
It’s been a busy week for Airbusso far, with both Air China Cargoand The Cathay Groupplanning to increase their orders for the Airbus A350F. Air China Cargo has increased its initial order from six A350F to 10 of the type, representing four extra aircraft. Air China Cargo previously ordered six A350F freighters in November 2025. Air China Cargo began introducing Airbus freighters at the end of 2023, and currently operates a fleet of eight Airbus A330-200P2F aircraft. In the near future, the A350F freighter will join Air China Cargo’s fleet and will complement the A330-200P2F freighters as well

Cathay Pacific Restarts Seattle Service
Cathay Pacific is returning to Seattle, coming back to Seattle after ending service during Covid. The oneworld airline has confirmed it will resume nonstop flights between Hong Kong and Seattle beginning March 30, 2026. It’s great to see another route finally being restored. Cathay Pacific first launched in March 2019 before being sidelined by the pandemic just a year later. Seattle once again appears on Cathay’s North American route map, with five weekly frequencies reconnecting Hong Kong to one of the most dynamic cities on the US West Coast, and of course my favorite city.
