ITA Airways’ A330‑900neo is a key part of its long‑haul fleet, offering a modern business‑class product and updated cabin design.

Business Class Configuration

  • The aircraft houses 30 Vantage XL seats arranged in a staggered 1‑2‑1 layout without privacy doors.
  • Although the seats are a bit narrower than those on wider‑body jets such as the A350 and 787, they still provide direct aisle access for every passenger.
  • Each seat is equipped with Bluetooth audio, USB‑A and USB‑C charging ports, and a personal entertainment screen.
  • The cabin interior features blue and gray décor, mood lighting, and Italian leather finishes that give it a sleek, contemporary feel.

Fleet Delivery and Expansion

  • ITA took delivery of its first A330‑900neo in May 2023 and expects the remaining 16 aircraft to join the fleet through 2027.
  • The airline originally ordered 10 A330neo aircraft to expand its long‑haul capabilities, supplementing the eight A330‑200s it inherited.
  • Together with its A350‑900s, the A330‑900neo forms the backbone of ITA’s long‑haul operations.

Passenger Experience Highlights

  • Reviewers consistently praise the soft product on the A330‑900neo, especially the exceptional food and friendly service.
  • The cabin’s technology, including Bluetooth audio and multiple USB charging options, is regarded as excellent.
  • While the business‑class seats lack privacy doors, the overall design and comfort are comparable to the A330‑900neo cabins of Delta and Virgin Atlantic.

ITA Airways’ A330neo Business Class: Amazing Food, Great Service
Hello from Miami! I just spent a bit of time in Europe. On the outbound, I flew LOT Polish Airlines’ Boeing 787-9 business class from Chicago to Warsaw, while on the return I flew ITA Airways Airbus A330-900neo business class from Rome to Miami. Earlier this year I flew ITA Airways’ A350-900 business class from Miami to Rome, and I was even more excited about this flight. While the A350 flight was great, ITA’s A350s were acquired on short notice and initially intended for Hainan Airlines, so the interior was quite generic. Meanwhile the A330-900neo marks a new chapter
