Seat Configuration Overview

  • The aircraft carries 14 First‑Class “mini‑suite” seats on the lower deck, each with a 78‑inch seat pitch and a 21‑inch seat width.
  • Club World Business Class provides 97 seats in total – 44 on the main deck arranged 2‑4‑2 and 53 on the upper deck arranged 2‑3‑2, with a 73‑inch pitch and a 20‑inch width.
  • World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy) comprises 55 seats on the upper deck in a 2‑3‑2 configuration, offering a 38‑inch pitch and an 18.5‑inch width.
  • World Traveller Economy includes 303 seats split between decks: 199 seats on the main deck in a 3‑4‑3 layout and 104 seats on the upper deck in a 2‑4‑2 layout, each with a 31‑inch pitch and a 17.5‑inch width.

British Airways earmark an A380 for Chicago
British Airways is finding new homes to operate its Airbus A380 operations – this time adding Chicago as a new Airbus A380 destination. The double-decker plane will be operated on a flight pair familiar to me – BA294/295 between London Heathrow and Chicago O’Hare International.
