In September 2023, SWISS’ leisure subsidiary, Edelweiss Air, announced plans to completely overhaul its long haul fleet. There’s now an exciting update, as the first of these jets has landed in Zurich, and will be entering service in the coming weeks. Let’s cover all the details. Edelweiss Air Unveils Swanky New Airbus A350 Cabins, New Business Class
SWISS leisure subsidiary Edelweiss Air is in the process of overhauling its long haul fleet, as the airline replaces its Airbus A340-300s with Airbus A350-900s. The airline acquired these A350s from LATAM, and has initially maintained the same interiors, with plans to retrofit the aircraft at a later point. There’s now an interesting update, as the Zurich-based airline has announced details of its new A350 cabins, plus the timeline with which this work will be done. Discover Airlines shows off its planned new interiors
Lufthansa Group subsidiary Discover Airlines shows off its new interior – and again, we have a nice-looking cabin coming up, it calls “Ocean Blue”. The retrofit will apply to the Discover Airlines Airbus A330-300 fleet. The first aircraft with the new cabin will fly from April 2027, with all aircraft to be equipped with the new cabin by mid-2028. The Ocean Blue name plays to the call sign used by the airline – Ocean (Callsign: OCN). After the conversion, each Airbus A330 will have 288 seats: **227 in Economy Class, 31 in Premium Economy Class and 30 in
