Trip Report & Review – Conrad Bangkok (King Room)
Bangkok is a wonderful city for luxury hotels—options are endless, and prices are usually reasonable. My friend and I were staying four nights in Bangkok, and we decided to check out the Conrad Bangkok. For reasons I will describe below, we changed rooms after one night. As usual, I will review them separately. This trip report/review is part of a series. See also: The phrase “four nights” essentially trigger the phase “Citi Prestige” in my head, since the card offers a 4th night free benefit. You are allow to book basically any published rates, and Citi will refund

Hotel Review: Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit (Soi 12)
Bangkok is a city awash with hotels. From backpacker bunk beds to 5-star suites, there is anything and everything available to travelers visiting the Big Mango. Due to the high inventory, it’s difficult to stand out. But the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit manages to do just that. From check-in, this property had my attention, with a cup of chilled juice and a cold, scented towel waiting

New Hyatt Regency In Bangkok Looks Stunning
The new property was supposed to open this month, but reservations are still not available for stays before January 01, 2019. Located on Sukhumvit Soi 13 within walking distance of the BTS Nana station, the new hotel will offer a nice oasis from the bustling Bangkok streets below. The hotel will include 273 rooms/suites, seven Regency Club floors, a 24/7 gym, five restaurants and bars, and free smartphone service with data for use in Bangkok. If you read my recent Grand Hyatt Hong review, there was also a smart phone in the room with free international calling and 4G

Trip Report – Asiana Lounge – Business Class – Seoul (ICN) Picture Tour
This is part twelve of a thirteen part trip report from my third and most recent trip back to Thailand and includes a picture tour of the Asiana Lounge – Business Class in Seoul (ICN): Welcome Tons of seating on both sides (each side sort of repeats the other with similar areas and food stations). All seats had multiple outlets and were extremely well kept. The lounge was empty for my early morning flight. Western and Asian breakfast options… Shower time… Lounging / sleeping rooms and massage chairs…

Park Hyatt Bangkok Review: The hotel stands tall amongst luxury offerings in the city
My trip to Bangkok last year on Qatar Airways included a lacklustre Qsuite experience from Montreal to Doha and an exceptional First-Class experience onboard the A380 from Doha to Bangkok. For my weekend in Bangkok, I booked Park Hyatt on points to better leverage my World of Hyatt Globalist perks, which typically include room upgrades, complimentary breakfast, early check-in, and a 4 p.m. late checkout. A Category-6 hotel in the World of Hyatt portfolio, I could book an off-peak rate for my November stay for 21,000 points each night. Park Hyatt is a premium luxury property in the Hyatt

Review: St. Regis Bangkok
Previous Installments: Bangkok is city where it’s difficult for me to pick hotels. Most everything is above average. Even the Holiday Inn Bangkok, at Gaysorn Plaza, is attached to the Intercontinental and practically the same hotel.Arguably the best Sheraton in the world is the Grande Sukhumvit. (And it’s better than the adjacent Westin.) On the other hand there are very few properties that are so good they’re clearly better than all the others. It’s not a city where I stick to Hyatt, either, because while the Grand Hyatt Erawan is fine I don’t find it special. (I am
