You’re flying Porter Airlines from Edmonton to Toronto today — here’s how to choose the best economy seat.
Best Seat Options on Porter Airlines E195-E2
- PorterReserve (first four rows): Offers extra legroom, priority boarding, two checked bags, and complimentary premium meals and drinks. Ideal if you want comfort and flexibility.
- Aisle seats (e.g., 2C, 3C): Provide easy access to the aisle and restrooms, which is helpful on longer flights. These are available in the 2-2 configuration with no middle seats.
- Window seats (e.g., 2A, 3A): Best for views and sleeping, especially if you prefer to lean against the window. 🔗
- Seats near the front (rows 1–4): Avoid the bulkhead if you dislike being near the galley or flight attendant area. However, these rows offer the fastest deplaning.
Key Features on Your Flight
- All passengers get complimentary snacks, beer, wine in glassware, and free Wi-Fi.
- The Embraer E195-E2 has a 2-2 seating layout with no middle seats. 🔗
- PorterReserve is the most comprehensive option, but PorterClassic seats are still a strong value with full amenities.🔗

Review: Porter Airlines Economy Toronto To Newark
At the jet bridge passengers with larger carry-ons could valet check their bags, so that they’d show up on the jet bridge in Newark, rather than having to claim them at baggage claim. Porter Airlines 139 Rarely is a turboprop flight worth reporting on, though Porter is a special little airline. Porter operates a fleet of Bombardier Q400 aircraft, which are the nicest turboprops out there, as far as I’m concerned. Porter’s Q400s have 74 seats, in a 2-2 configuration. Review: Porter Airlines E195-E2 Los Angeles – Toronto
We kicked off our trip with a flight from Los Angeles to Toronto on Porter Airlines in PorterReserve class onboard a brand new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. In short, Porter is the upscale JetBlue of Canada and is a pleasure to fly and an important player in keeping Air Canada competitive. PorterReserve is not business class, but is located in the front of the aircraft and features more legroom than a standard economy class seat, plus extra amenities like free meals and premium drinks onboard. For my flight, a standard (PorterClassic) seat cost $143 and a premium (PorterResreve) seat
