There are several award‑chart sweet spots that consistently deliver strong value across a few major loyalty programs.

These sweet spots are worth tracking because they consistently provide lower mileage costs or better availability compared with many other routes in the same programs.

Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ Credit Card Review (2026)
For years, Chase never offered an ultra-premium card for small businesses. The closest option on offer was Ink Business Preferred®, with its $95 annual fee. That curious hole in Chase’s credit card portfolio was filled in 2025 with the launch of the Sapphire Reserve for Business℠. The business version of the Chase Sapphire Reserve® has many of the same perks as its consumer counterpart: excellent travel protections, lounge access, good earning rates on flights and hotels, and an easy-to-use $300 travel credit. However, 3X on dining is replaced by social media and online advertising, while the lengthy list of

Flying Blue Transfer Bonus from AmEx Canada
AmEx Canada is offering a 25% transfer bonus to Flying Blue, Air France and KLM frequent flyer programs. This means 1,000 Membership Rewards points become 1,250 Flying Blue miles. The offer is live now and runs through April 17, 2026. Amex Canada only recently improved the regular Flying Blue transfer ratio from the long-standing 1:0.75, so this bonus is now stacking on top of a much better baseline than before. Let’s go into the details. As always, a transfer bonus is not automatically a good deal just because the math looks nicer on the surface. The current promotion

We Scrapped Tahiti and Booked This Family Trip to Asia Instead
As March break approaches, we’re preparing for another family trip. While we once preferred warm destinations, recent years have shifted us toward urban experiences rich in culture. Originally, we had a two-week plan to Tahiti, but in January we decided to cancel it and instead choose a three-city tour of Seoul, Osaka, and Singapore. Making this change only about eight weeks prior posed a challenge, especially in securing business class award seats for a family of three, but we did manage to find some with some strategic planning and coordination. This 15-day trip will center around three cities: Osaka,

30% transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club from Citi ThankYou Rewards
Over the weekend, a Citi ThankYou Rewards transfer bonus launched for cardmembers transferring points from the Citi Strata Elite, Strata Premier, Prestige, or AT&T Access moe card to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club. Through April 18, 2026, Citi is offering a 30% transfer bonus when transferring points to Virgin. While that’s not quite as generous as the last couple of 40% transfer bonuses that we’ve seen from other transferable points systems, this bonus nonetheless means that economy class award tickets to London start at just 4,700 Citi points (which is more than enough for a 6,000-mile Virgin award ticket from the

Where Flying Blue Still Offers the Best Value
In light of the current 25% transfer bonus from Amex MR to Air France KLM Flying Blue, it’s a great time to revisit some Flying Blue sweet spots. I’ve mentioned recently that I’m loving Flying Blue, although there has since been one negative change. Overall, Flying Blue remains one of the strongest frequent flyer programs with many compelling use cases. The key is knowing where Flying Blue still offers outsized value (and where it doesn’t). The go-to use case for Flying Blue is its monthly Promo Rewards, which offer discounts on certain flights. Premium cabins are often discounted
