To kick off the trip to Germany with my parents, I flew Turkish Airlines’ Airbus A350 business class from Chicago to Istanbul. This wasn’t just any A350, but rather it was one of Turkish Airlines’ handful of A350s that were intended to be flown by Aeroflot, but that’s no longer happening due to sanctions (for those curious, you can identify the ex-Aeroflot A350s by their seven rows of business class, rather than the eight rows on the standard Turkish A350s). Turkish Airlines has confirmed on its new business class seat on new B787 and A350 on order. The airline has confirmed its choice of the Aurora seat from Stelia Aerospace for its forthcoming Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 jets, with the first 787 due mid-2019. Turkish Airlines has 25 each of the Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A350-900 on order. The new Turkish Airlines direct aisle access business class seat is identical to Singapore Airlines B787-10 business class which pictured below. Turkish Airlines has indicated they are undergoing a retrofit program soon on the existing A330 and B777 fleet but it won't have the same type of seat as the new B787 or A350.
