Business class seats across major carriers in 2026 offer a mix of comfort, layout, and amenities, with notable differences in design and functionality.

Seat Layout and Comfort

  • The reverse-herringbone configuration on EVA Air’s 777-300ER and 777-300ER provides direct aisle access and strong privacy, with 43-inch pitch and 20-inch width, making it highly practical and comfortable for long-haul flights.
  • Singapore Airlines’ A350 and 777-300ER use staggered seating, with “honeymoon” seats for couples and adjustable dividers for privacy, though the angled seat design can feel slightly off-putting due to the torso-tilt effect.
  • Asiana Airlines’ A380 uses the Stelia Solstys seat in a 1-2-1 staggered layout, offering generous window-side storage and a spacious cabin, but the footwell is narrow, especially for taller passengers.🔗
  • SAS’s A320 uses modified economy seats with no individual recline or luxury features, but offers a guaranteed empty middle seat and 30 inches of legroom, making it a budget-friendly option for short-haul flights.🔗

Key Amenities and Features

  • EVA Air and Singapore Airlines provide thick duvets, large pillows, and mood lighting with “stars,” enhancing sleep quality despite dated interiors.
  • Air France’s A350 features a 1A bulkhead aisle seat with a full lie-flat function, universal power outlets, USB ports, and a unique seat-numbered hanger system, though minor panel wear is visible.🔗
  • LOT’s A320 business class includes a dedicated shoe storage compartment, a massage function on seat controls, and a universal power outlet, but lacks individual air vents and has limited seat-level storage.🔗
  • Asiana’s A380 offers a premium amenity kit with Aigner branding, including face cream, lip balm, and a durable zipper pouch, though the kit feels less luxurious than expected.

Notable Drawbacks

  • The narrow footwell on Asiana’s A380 and the awkward tray table deployment on LOT’s A320 are consistent pain points across several carriers.
  • EVA Air’s 777 seats lack air vents and wireless charging, though they remain comfortable and functional for most travelers.
  • SAS’s economy-based business class seats show visible wear and lack padding, making them less appealing for long flights despite the empty middle seat.🔗

Review: Air France Business Class for 60k points – A350 Long-Haul and A320 Intra-EU
My return journey from Vatican City and Rome (FCO) was booked in Air France Business Class via Paris (CDG), costing 60,000 Flying Blue miles. By leveraging a 25% transfer bonus from U.S. Amex Membership Rewards, the effective cost came down to 48,000 MR points, plus approximately $400 CAD in taxes and fees, which I offset with my Scotiabank Gold American Express Card. This redemption stood out particularly when compared to Air Canada’s dynamic pricing, which had direct flights priced well north of 200k Aeroplan points. With Canadian Amex Membership Rewards now also transferring to Flying Blue at a 1:1.25 ratio,

Review: Singapore Airlines 777 Business Class New York to Frankfurt
To start my Singapore and Thailand journey, I flew from New York (JFK) to Singapore (SIN) via Frankfurt and got to try out the Singapore Airlines 777 Business Class. Singapore Airlines offers a flight that stops in Frankfurt, picks up some passengers, and the same aircraft continues to Singapore. My review is a bit delayed, as this was from my May 2025 trip. But, better late than never, and I was super excited for this flight as it was my first time on Singapore Airlines. This review covers my first New York (JFK) to Frankfurt (FRA) segment. I reserved

Review: Asiana Airlines A380 Business Class, Seoul to Los Angeles
To cap off our trip to India and Korea, I decided to give my son a legitimate avgeek experience. At the time, Asiana operated the A380 on the Seoul to Los Angeles route. And so I took advantage of the chance to let my son experience the upper deck of an airplane. Asiana Airlines A380 Business Class seems pretty dated at this point, though still a comfortable ride on a long flight. After expending all my miles to get to India, I paid cash to the tune of $2,655 each. The last time I flew Asiana long-haul in Business Class

Review: EVA Air 777 Business Class Bangkok To Taipei
My 3.5-hour flight from Bangkok to Taipei on an EVA Airways 777 in “Royal Laurel” business class was a smooth and restful ride with excellent service and a delicious dinner. EVA 777 Business Class Review (BKK-TPE) For 87,500 Air Canada Aeroplan miles and 34.4o CAD in taxes, I booked Bangkok (BKK) – Taipei (TPE) – Chicago (ORD) in business class on EVA Air, with an overnight in TPE. I spent some time in the Royal Orchid Prestige Lounge then flew to Taipei on EVA. While I was hoping to get a 787-10 on this

Flight Review: SAS Airbus A320 Business Class – CPH-LHR
We flew from Copenhagen Airport (CPH) to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) on SAS earlier this week. The flight was around 90 minutes, but a full hot meal was served, the crew was attentive and friendly, and Wi-Fi worked well. Thankfully, SAS just brought Business Class back to its intra-Europe flights on October 1st to align with Air France and KLM. I had not flown SAS in some time and was happy to take this nonstop flight to London. Anthony’s Take: The flight was quick and uneventful. We spent some time in the SAS Gold Lounge at Copenhagen Airport (CPH)

SAS A320 Business Class Review: Better Food, Same Old Seat
We began our journey back to the USA with a morning flight from Zurich to Copenhagen on an Airbus A320 in business class, my first chance to experience the “new” SAS premium cabin on a shorthaul flight. The “new” SAS Business Class on intra-European routes is a big upgrade over the SAS Plus service the carrier offered for years. As part of its rebirth in SkyTeam, now closely tied to Air France-KLM, SAS has brought back “proper” business class on these routes, with blocked middle seats, a curtain dividing cabins, and meals served on “real” tableware. We flew

Review: EVA Air 777-300ER Business Class Taipei To Chicago
My 13.5-hour journey from Taipei to Chicago on EVA Air on the 777-300ER in “Royal Laurel” business class was very pleasant and the Taiwanese carrier is able to pull off something most carriers cannot: offer what is in many ways is a very “old school” product but pull it off so well.
