We’re seeing quite some nice improvements to the long haul business class products of major US airlines. We recently saw American introduce its new Flagship Suite business class, soon United plans to introduce its new Polaris business class, and next up it’s Delta’s turn. We’re getting more of a sense of what we can expect… In this post: Delta has 20 Airbus A350-1000s on order, which will eventually be the carrier’s flagship aircraft. Not only will this be Delta’s largest aircraft, but it’s also expected to be the most premium configured plane. Unfortunately at this point, we’ll have

Delta’s New Business Class Seats and the Premium Cabin Arms Race
Delta Air Lines unveiled new business class seats for its upcoming Airbus A350-1000 fleet and its existing Airbus A330-200/300 fleet on Monday. This marks the airline’s largest onboard product overhaul in a decade, and will enter service when the carrier begins to receive deliveries of its A350-1000s in 2027. The new offering also marks a continued trend in a push for premium among U.S. carriers to capture high-spending customers. Delta Finally Announces Its New Business Class Suites — But The Most Important Upgrade Is Actually In Coach
Delta Air Lines announced their new business class suite that will be equipped on board Airbus A350-1000 once those begin delivering next year, and that they’ll be adding suites with doors to their Airbus A330s as they refresh the interiors of those planes. Perhaps more importantly, they are making modest improvements to both premium economy and coach. The new A350-1000 business class suite, still on the Thompson seat platform (VantageNova vs. VantageXL for their older Suites), will offer a bed that’s 3 inches longer than their current one, to provide over 6.5 feet of sleeping length. Delta Unveils A350-1000 With Massive Premium Cabin And New Business Class Suites
Delta Air Lines has unveiled its new onboard product for the Airbus A350-1000, fearing a refreshed Delta One Suite in business class, and an aggressively premium approach to the cabin layout. We’ve had many hints and leaks over the new A350-1000 product, but Delta has made it official today. The new Delta One Suite on the A350-1000 is based on the Thompson Aero VantageNOVA platform. That means a reverse-herringbone 1-2-1 layout with direct aisle access for every passenger and a closing door for privacy, a different product than the staggered A350-900 suite. “Flagship” Delta Airbus A350-1000s Join Fleet In 2027: What Should We Expect?
For quite some time there have been rumors that Delta Air Lines would order the Airbus A350-1000. This has finally become a reality! In this post: Delta has placed a firm order for 20 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, with a further 20 options for Airbus wide body aircraft (with no specific aircraft type mentioned beyond that, so presumably it could be A350-1000s, A350-900s, or A330-900neos). The first of these A350-1000s is expected to join the Atlanta-based carrier’s fleet as of 2026. That’s pretty soon, so I’m curious if Airbus has been holding some slots for Delta. Delta states
