Selecting seats on EVA Air can be done either through the airline you originally booked with or directly on EVA Air’s website, and the process varies slightly for award bookings.
How to select EVA Air seats
- Locate the 6‑digit Passenger Name Record (PNR) for your EVA Air segment.
- Visit EVA Air’s “Manage Booking” page (search for “EVA Air Manage Booking”) and enter the PNR along with your last name. 🔗
- If you booked through a partner airline and cannot select seats there, first try the partner’s site, then follow the steps above on EVA Air’s site.
- For award bookings that require multiple seats, create a separate EVA Air account for each passenger before searching for availability. 🔗
- After logging in, choose the “Select Itinerary” option to search for flights and pick seats; the “Online Ticketing” option does not allow seat selection. 🔗
- EVA Air’s business‑class cabins use a 1‑2‑1 layout, with the most private window seats in rows 2, 5 and 7, which are closest to the windows and offer extra privacy.🔗

EVA Air 787 Business Class: Bottom Line Review
Over the last couple of years, I’ve yapped on and on ad nauseum about how much I like Citi ThankYou Rewards, in no small part because it’s the only major bank currency that transfers 1:1 to EVA Air…and I love EVA Air. The airline has a good business class product, great availability for its own MileageLands customers, tasty food, and competitive pricing on non-stops to Taiwan. A few weeks ago, I travelled from Seattle to Taipei and was just as impressed as ever. EVA Air’s 787-10 business class is a great way to fly to Asia. Catering is tasty,

How to select seats on partner bookings
It’s common to book a trip through one airline that includes segments flown by other airlines. For example, a trip booked through American Airlines might include segments flown by Alaska Airlines, British Airways, Qatar, Qantas, or other AA partners. In some cases the partners are so well integrated that its possible to select seats through the airline you booked with (e.g. you may be able to select Air France seats when booking through Delta), but often you cannot. Often, it is necessary to go directly to the operating carrier to select your seats. Here’s how… When you book a

How to book EVA Air Infinity MileageLands awards (for multiple people)
I’m a big fan of EVA Air. The airline has an excellent business class product, great availability for its own (awkwardly-named) Infinity MileageLands customers, tasty food, and competitive pricing on non-stops to Taiwan. Citi ThankYou Rewards transfer 1:1 to EVA, and it’s a superlative way to use your points. There’s one problem, though: booking awards via EVA’s search engine is terribly unintuitive, and that process is probably one of the biggest reasons that relatively few points and miles folks utilize it. We’ve been promising a post outlining how to search for EVA Air award flights for some time…and here

How To Select Etihad Seats Online
One of the awesome things about this hobby is that I learn something new every day. And my lesson for today is how to assign Etihad seats online, courtesy of reader RH. I’ve always only booked Etihad award tickets using American AAdvantage miles, and I’ve been under the impression that you can’t select Etihad seats online when booking through a partner airline. So my strategy has always been to ask for the Etihad record locator when booking the ticket with American, and then phoning up Etihad for the seats. That’s an easy enough process, since when you phone

Review: EVA Air Business Class Boeing 787 (TPE-HKG)
For the first portion of my long journey to Abu Dhabi, I flew EVA Air. In the previous installment I reviewed my EVA Air 777-300ER business class flight from Houston to Taipei, and in this installment I’m reviewing my EVA Air 787-9 business class flight from Taipei to Hong Kong. To cut to the chase, my EVA Air Boeing 787 business class flight was exceptional — the 787s have modern seats, the food and drinks were great, and the service was friendly. And while the airline flies this plane on some long haul routes, it’s even more of a

Review: EVA Air Business Class Boeing 777 (IAH-TPE)
To kick off my long journey to Abu Dhabi, I flew EVA Air’s Boeing 777-300ER business class (referred to as Royal Laurel Class) from Houston to Taipei. At nearly 16.5 hours, this was the longest flight I’ve taken in years, and goodness, it felt like an eternity. If you’ve gotta spend this long on a plane in business class, though, it’s tough to beat EVA Air. While EVA Air’s 777 hard product isn’t cutting edge, it is very comfortable. What really sets apart the experience is the soft product — the amenities are fantastic, the food and drinks are
