Qantas’s Airbus A380‑800 Business Class features a refreshed cabin that combines a mini‑cabin at the front of the upper deck with a larger main section, all using a 1‑2‑1 seat configuration.

Business Class Layout

The first five rows on the upper deck form a separate mini‑cabin, each row arranged in a 1‑2‑1 layout.
These rows provide direct aisle access for every passenger and are often recommended for their privacy and proximity to the onboard lounge.
After the mini‑cabin, the remaining Business Class seats are spread across 13 additional rows, also in a 1‑2‑1 configuration.
In total Qantas operates 70 Business Class seats on the A380, with 20 seats in the front mini‑cabin and the remaining 50 in the main cabin.
Business Class seats are found from row 1 up to at least row 20 on the upper deck.

  • Rows 1‑5: mini‑cabin, 1‑2‑1 layout.
  • Rows 6‑? (main cabin): 1‑2‑1 layout, 50 seats across 13 rows.
  • Total Business Class seats: 70.

Couple Kicked Off 13+ Hour Qantas A380-800 in Business Class for Being Rude!
My wife and I, just last week, returned home from Sydney on Friday the 13th 2026, Australia and had the chance to fly for the first time on a Qantas A380 in business class (review up in a bit). Boarding was a bit of a mess because of a small gate assigned to our massive double decker jumbo jet. First class, that consisted of rows 1-5 downstairs, boarded first as well as one couple that had escorted boarding and were the first upstairs in business class. After a short delay business class was called and quickly filled up

In this post: On Sunday, February 22, 2026, a Qantas Airbus A380 flew from Sydney (SYD) to Sao Paulo (GRU). Specifically, the 14hr49min flight departed at 10:28PM local time, and landed at
