Review: Starlux Airlines Business Class Airbus A330neo (TPE-KIX)
For the outbound portion of our trip to Kyoto, we flew Starlux Airlines via Taipei. In a previous installment I reviewed Starlux’s A350-900 business class from Los Angeles to Taipei, and in this post I wanted to review Starlux’s A330-900neo business class from Taipei to Osaka. While the transpacific flight wasn’t quite as impressive as I was hoping, the short hop over to Japan was spectacular. The flight featured flat beds, free Wi-Fi, a very friendly crew, delicious food and drinks, and plenty of amenities. It’s just hard to go back to flying in the United States after taking

Geven delivers new seats for S7 Airlines
Geven Aircraft Seats and Interiors have been busy, with them completing the delivery of the first shipset of its Essenza economy class seat and Comoda Business Class seats for S7 Airlines. The seats will be installed on S7 Airlines new Airbus A320neo aircraft. The installation follows a partnership between Geven and S7, which started in 2017, where Piuma EVO economy seats and Comboda Business Class seats were installed on their Airbus A321. This has to lead to S7 agreeing to a line-fit (fitted at the factory) of 16 shipsets for the Airbus A320 and A321 – with deliveries

Review: EVA Airways 777-300ER Economy Class
From Tapei to Singapore I enjoyed a lovely flight in a sparsely-filled economy class cabin onboard an EVA Airways 777-300ER. The flight was marked by delicious food and excellent service. After my misconnect in San Francisco, I was booked in economy class (a “full Y” fare) and would have used miles to upgrade to business class (30K United MileagePlus), but the “Royal Laurel” cabin was full. Turns out I was fortunate because economy class was less than 1/3 full and I had a row to myself. Our aircraft was parked at a remote stand. At 6:55 am, 45

Review: British Airways Business Class Airbus A319 (GVA-LHR)
To kick off the return journey of our trip to Geneva, we flew British Airways’ Airbus A319 business class (often referred to as Club Europe) on the 1hr20min flight from Geneva (GVA) to London (LHR). While intra-Europe business class is not much to write home about, I had a positive experience. The aircraft had power ports and Wi-Fi, the crew was friendly, and the food exceeded expectations. What more could one ask for on a short flight within Europe (since a better seat is too much to ask for)? In this post: I booked the return portion

Review: Emirates Business Class Airbus A380 (JFK-MXP)
For the first segment of my quick trip to Paris and Cairo, I flew Emirates’ Airbus A380 business class on the 7hr10min overnight flight from New York (JFK) to Milan (MXP). This is one of the carrier’s more useful fifth freedom flights, and a fantastic way to travel between the United States and Europe. While I’ve flown Emirates first class a countless number of times over the years, this was my first time in roughly a decade flying the carrier’s A380 business class. So, how was my experience? On balance, Emirates’ A380 business class is pretty great. The

Spectacular: Malaysia Airlines A330-900neo Business Class
I had a very nice flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bali on a brand new Malaysia Airlines A330-900neo business class, a beautiful aircraft with a posh business class cabin. The only reason I flew to Bali (and why the side trip to Timor-Leste came up) was because I wanted to review the latest addition to the Malaysia Airlines fleet: the A330-900neo. I’ve flown this aircraft on Delta and Virgin Atlantic and quite like it… I booked my ticket using British Airways Avios at a cost of 22,000 Avios and $38 in taxes (a paid ticket was over 500
