Leaked Seat Map for New United Airlines 787-10
United has 14 firm orders for the 787-10 and will take delivery of the first three this year. In a leaked seat map to Flight Global, it appears the new aircraft will have 318 seats, split in three cabins (with the economy class cabin further subdivided in Economy Plus and United Economy): Based on the seat map, we see that Premium Economy feature three rows of 2-3-2 seating. This is an excellent cabin density in terms of maximizing upgrade potential. Even if the hard product is not as competitve, I’d still take this shot at upgrading over

United Airlines Releases Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Seat Map
United Airlines has released the seatmap on its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, set to enter service in late October on the new Los Angeles – Melbourne route. Slightly larger than the 787-8, the new aircraft will have more seats in business (48 versus 36), Economy Plus (88 versus 70), and Economy (116 versus 113). Most of the additional seats come in business class or Economy Plus, so good news for upgraders–rumor is the new 777s on the Sydney routes, with 25% fewer business class seats than the 747-400, have been near impossible to upgrade to business on.

United’s 787 Seat Map
Now that United has loaded its first 787 into the schedule, Denver-Tokyo beginning March 31, you can see the seatmap for the aircraft by walking through a dummy booking on the website: There are 36 business class seats, 63 economy plus seats (presumably rows 16-22, not highlighted on the seatmap), coach has been announced as 120 seats though the seatmap would appear to show 135 seats — presumably some of the blocked/unavailable seats aren’t. They clearly haven’t put the finishing touches on the seatmap since economy plus isn’t so-flagged. Nine across in coach seems tight to me, considering
