Citi Adds New Transfer Partner and 2 New Transfer Bonuses
Citi ThankYou points have been growing on me, especially this past year after I opened a Citi Strata Elite credit card. Citi just announced a new transfer partner and two new transfer bonuses this month! Citi Adds Japan Airlines as Transfer Partner On September 20, Citi added Japan Airlines as its latest transfer partner. Citi joins Bilt and Capital One as a flexible miles/points transfer partner. Citi cards with an annual fee will transfer to JAL at a 1:1 transfer ratio. Citi cards with no annual fee will transfer to JAL WITH A 1:0.7 transfer ratio.

September 2026 Transfer Bonuses (5 new)
How is it September already? This month brings some new transfer bonuses as well as a continuation of a few transfer bonuses from August. New: Capital One 30% Transfer Bonus to Japan Airlines Through September 30, 2026, get 30% transfer bonus from Capital One to Japan Airlines. The normal transfer ratio is 1000:750, and this bonus makes the ratio 1000:975. Capital One has offered this same transfer bonus before. While JAL has the best award availability for its own program, award flights can still be a bit challenging to find, and the taxes can be steep. New:

Citi Adds Japan Airlines as 1:1 ThankYou Transfer Partner Citi revealed today the addition of Japan Airlines Mileage Bank as the newest transfer partner for the ThankYou Rewards program, giving cardholders another way to book JAL and oneworld awards with transferable points. The partnership is live as of September 20, 2026.
